"Spiritual practice & information appears, as a tool,  to help thin or pierce holes in the illusionary veil of separation and fear. A core permeability practice potentially dissolving this veil, is Self-Inquiry. Ask the question Who am I? until the busy mind knows, it cannot know.
Exhausted mind is grace waving hello." JaLee

“The mind only covers you up—the real you—effortless awareness,
the eternal peace you already are.” JaLee

Attention: Standing alone, attention is a powerful, useful thought used to temporarily disperse non-useful thoughts covering awareness, the peaceful field of no-thought from which all thoughts arise. Teachers often say, “Bring your attention to…” One example would be breath meditation. Bring you attention to the breath. When you notice a thought appearing, bring your attention to the breath. Attention requires effort. Awareness is effortless. Once attention is effortless, even if only a few seconds, this is unspeakable awareness—the unformed peace we already are.

Inner Inquiry: Generally guides attention within, using various useful and investigative type thoughts as relaxing agents to non-useful thoughts. One example would be Byron Katie’s four questions called The Work. Once a disturbing thought tortures you, inquire: Is it true? Can you absolutely know that it's true? How do you react, what happens, when you believe that thought? Who would you be without the thought? Learn more about this inner inquiry here: The Work
Please Email us with information if you have experienced similar variations.

Mantras: These repetitive useful thoughts serve as non-useful thought relaxers. Perhaps the most potent mantra of all is simply “I AM”.

Deconstruction Inquiry: Reminiscent of Nisargadatta Maharaj’s inquiry that invites you to look within and inquire “Who am I not?” Once the mind answers with a thought response, that's not it. That's not it is a useful thought appearing as you continue on with the inquiry, repeatedly. 'I' thought exhaustion is the intention, allowing the peace-we-already are to be experienced more clearly. Some modern teachers have a useful spin on this as they guide you within to direct experience. Direct experience is a golden key. This experiential inquiry is like following a trail of breadcrumbs dissolved by awareness if you stick it out long enough. One example would be Scott Kiloby’s Unfindable Objects inquiry. Please Email us with information if you have experienced similar variations.

Self-Inquiry: The core inquiry taught by Ramana Maharshi invites you to bring attention to your mind and inquire, “Who Am I?” Look for the source of all thought. Thoughts are meaningless here. If attention is dilligent, this practice often causes extreme mind agitation. Allowing this agitation repeatedly potentially exhausts the mind, exhausting the ‘I’ thought, suddenly allowing awareness to experience you, the real you not belonging to anyone at all. ‘I’ thought dissolution is irreversible. The trade off is deep inner peace and appreciation for life as it is. Many variations of this inquiry include Look Within and Find the Thinker; or Look Within – Who Is Looking? and probably more. Please mail us with information if you have experienced similar variations.

Awareness Pointing: Fast becoming a key focus of some modern nonduality teachers and is truly an art form that brings your attention directly to experiencing awareness, always available here now. Peace is who you already are. Peace is here now. This pointing can cause extreme mind agitation. Mind agitation is a golden sign to stay with it and continue this useful practice that allows all thoughts passing through the mind to freely dissolve, potentially carrying the ‘I’ thought along with it. When the ‘I’ though flows through too, life peacefully dances on its own forever more. Some examples of teachers known for Awareness Pointing include Bentinho Massaro and Peter Francis Dziubin. Please Email us with information if you have experienced similar variations.

Personality Attention: These tools are least useful when you mistake these conditioning patterns for who you really are. These tools most useful when accompanying one or more of the practices listed above. Personality Attention practices bring attention to the internal blueprint inside you as a relatively unique collection of useful, non-useful and neutral conditioning patterns appearing and disappearing as thoughts or moving thoughts called emotion. This attention to these relatively predictable patterns potentially transforms into non-judgmental awareness of particular thought pattern barriers, especially the sneaky ones resisting your birthright to realizing the peace you already are. Some examples of these tools are: Chakra investigation, Enneagram, Human Design, Astrology and Personalogy. Please Email us with information if you have experienced similar variations.
